Jessica Nakos, PhD, MOT, OTR

Assistant Professor

Dr. Jess Nakos obtained a Bachelor of Science in psychology and Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree at Texas Woman’s University. She received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Occupational Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. Clinical experience includes work with older adults in skilled nursing facilities, an adult VA inpatient psych unit, and inpatient rehabilitation on a spinal cord injury team. Dr. Nakos has experience with community-based advocacy and participation in local government. Professional memberships include TOTA, AOTA, WFOT and SSO:USA.  Time outside of work is spent on nature-based occupations, reading, travel, laughing and time with family.
