Professional Practice Education

Entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy students graduate with 34 weeks of clinical experience and patient interaction, beginning with a diverse patient population at the School of Rehabilitation Sciences' Community Clinic.

Students participate in a total of 34 weeks of Professional Practice (clinical) experiences. A variety of opportunities in Texas and throughout the U.S. are provided to the students. The Director of Professional Practice Education will work closely with the students in the selection process.

DPT 7518- Professional Practice Education I - 10 weeks at the end of the 5th semester

DPT 7628- Professional Practice Education II - 12 weeks that comprise the 6th semester

DPT 8618- Professional Practice Education III - 12 weeks that comprise 7th semester
