About the Clinic

About the UIW SRS Community Clinic

The UIW School of Rehabilitation Sciences Community Clinic combines quality patient care with clinical education. The clinic serves the San Antonio community while providing Doctor of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy students with valuable hands-on experience in patient evaluation, treatment, and professional practice.

Our Purpose

The Community Clinic was established to increase access to rehabilitation services for individuals who may not otherwise be able to obtain physical therapy because of insurance or financial limitations.

Student Learning Through Service

Students participate in patient care throughout their educational program, working directly with community members while being mentored by licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists and faculty clinicians. This model ensures patients receive attentive care while students gain real-world experience.

State-of-the-Art Facility

The School of Rehabilitation Sciences is located in a modern educational and clinical facility designed to support learning, research, and patient care. The building includes rehabilitation laboratories, collaborative learning spaces, and clinical treatment areas.
