The UIW SRS Community Clinic is dedicated to helping community members access rehabilitation services when financial or insurance barriers exist.

Eligibility

Patients may qualify if they:

  • Are 13 years of age or older
  • Has a valid doctors referral
  • Are not eligible for Medicare benefits
  • Are uninsured or underinsured
  • Have exhausted their physical therapy or occupational therapy insurance benefits

What are the clinic's hours?

The clinic is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Is treatment really free?

Yes. The Community Clinic provides no-cost physical therapy services for eligible patients.

Who provides treatment?

Doctor of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy students provide treatment under the supervision of licensed faculty physical therapists.

How many therapy visits will I need?

The number of visits depends on your condition, goals, and progress during treatment.

Is there a Waitlist for the clinic?

Yes, the clinic typically has a waitlist and you need a doctor's referral to join.

How often will I get seen?

Most patients in our program are seen once every 2-4 weeks.
